According to their website Vbuzzer represents the best value proposition in the Internet Telephony world with its quality, reliability, functionality, easy of use, and low cost. With Vbuzzer, people around the world can make toll quality but free calls to each other; or as we say, they can download Vbuzzer and "voip the world for free"; all they need to do is to download the software to a PC that is connected to the internet. Calls from Vbuzzer to the traditional telephone networks are not free but at a fraction of price of the traditional telephone carriers, with the same high quality.
As we look at their calling plans and rates we see that they are a Vonage alternative but we are not clear on how to hook Vbuzzer to an ATA adapter, or if it is even possible. Without a hard phone Vbuzzer would not have the convenience of Vonage. Look for this in the future.
Their website claims Vbuzzer is a suite of Instant Messaging and Internet Telephony software, Vbuzzer can turn your PC into a phone. It is free to download; free to call anyone else who has Vbuzzer Softphone; and free to exchange messages with anyone else who has Vbuzzer Messenger.
Vbuzzer can also be used to call any regular phone in the world with its low cost plans and rates. More excitingly, Vbuzzer is now introducing its hot deals for users who want to call regular phones worldwide.
While an instant messenging and VoIP combination in a total package seems to be the programming package of choice for many one must contrast the ease of knowing if your friend is online with the option to call them on the telephone in the first place.

Their download is available without registering first but we did not install or test it. Vbuzzer is made up of two separate programs: Vbuzzer Softphone (internet telephony) and Vbuzzer Messenger (instant messenger).
After downloading Vbuzzer you can choose to install either Vbuzzer Softphone or Vbuzzer messenger or both.
With one cent per minute international rates Vbuzzer is competitive with many other SIP - VoIP services but it certainly drives down the cost of international calling and makes cell phone international rates look high.
