We reported on whispers that Sprint’s investors were unhappy with CEO Gary Forsee’s performance and were calling for his ouster–now, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal, the carrier’s board of directors has quietly begun its search for a new chief. The report claims that the board wants to announce a new CEO by early December. The newspaper’s sources claim that the likely candidates will come from outside of Sprint Nextel and certain industry veterans have already been approached for the job. At least one of them has already said “no.”
