1TouchTone has a plan structure similar to Vonage with different tiers and service levels. All in networks calls between users are free but you must have a contract with 1TouchTone.
When your friend signs up for 1TouchTone service you will both receive a free months phone service. Not only will all your calls to each other be free, as all 1TouchTone to 1TouchTone calls are, but you'll actually be getting something for nothing. All your friend has to do is input your 1TouchTone username into the "Referring Friend" field during signup. Your friend will get their second month of service for free.
You keep your current phone number in most cases. Standard Voice is a new voice service that can replace your current telephone line from the telephone company. They provide use of an IP analog telephone adapter that plugs directly into your Cable/DSL modem or home router.
Other nice features are included such as the ability to take your 1TouchTone provided adapter anywhere in the world, plug it into an internet connection and phone, and receive calls like you never left your home or office.
